Erin graduated from Southwestern College, Santa Fe, NM in 2007. She is a
registered and board certified art psychotherapist. “I consider it a privilege and a responsibility to share my knowledge and
skills about the transformative process of therapy to those who are seeking
to feel whole. I work with adult individuals, adolescents, couples and
families. My area of expertise includes relationships, depression, anxiety,
trauma disorders, and self-esteem. I combine verbal therapy with an art therapy component when necessary. Many
of my clients have found that art created in therapy undoubtedly reveals the
blocks that prevent them from actualizing their potential and goals, and
elicits the insights needed for growth. I look forward to the opportunity to assist you in your transformative
process of healing through which I believe you will find deeper joy and
peace within yourself as well as enhanced meaning in your life. Swan
Expressive Therapies offer evening, day, and weekend appointments.”
Amanda Bolen
MA LGPC
amanda@swanexpressivetherapies.com
I work with children adolescents, and adults who are experiencing a variety of life issues. My framework for therapy is that healing and growth happen in connection and relationship with others. You can expect to build an authentic and therapeutic relationship with me as we explore together areas of concern in your life. I utilize the creative process to aid therapy. For children art is a natural means of communication and connection. For adolescents and adults, sometimes words are not enough to express what is being experienced. No artistic skill is needed because there is no right or wrong way to express yourself. You can use art materials spontaneously or you may be given a specific instruction. Reflecting on and talking through what you have created may help provide you with some insights to your situation.
